The beloved Baja Bug originated in Southern California in the late 1960s. It was created as a less expensive version of the Volkswagen Beetle dune buggies that were popular at the time. Modifications to the Beetle are usually simple: light fiberglass panels replace heavier sheet metal both front and rear and the engine compartment is left open to aid in cooling. Baja Bugs are a fun and nostalgic way to romp around.
